“Rapid Start” Trade Promotion Management

Inspirage has introduced a new program to enable consumer goods companies to deploy trade promotion and deduction & settlement management capabilities in a rapid time to value manner with our hosted and managed service through Inspirage Value Chain Plus®. This cost effective approach provides Inspirage value added capabilities within a preconfigured model using Oracle’s Demantra Predictive Trade Planning and Deduction & Settlement applications. These applications are preconfigured leveraging best practices developed through experience with many clients.

The Foundational “Rapid Start” offering provides the fundamental capabilities of:

  • Bottom up and top down volume planning
  • Enable promotion volume forecasting and automated accrual calculation
  • Support for custom hierarchies to support a much simpler trade model, 3-tier trade planning or Food Service
  • Support for standard trade settlement types and promotion tactics
  • Management of both fixed and accrual based trade spend budgets
  • Repository to create promotion records, and capture required data points for future promotion analytics delivery
  • Support for price support (EDLP) management and visibility
  • Trade settlement, deduction management capability (closed loop solution)
  • Standard approval workflows, and audit trails
  • Total Volume and Spend analysis analytics, visibility to shipment actuals

Inspirage also offers a more advanced “Fast Start Analytics” program for clients that may already have an existing transactional TPM system, but need to extend their capabilities to include the ability to model, predict and analyze promotional outcomes. Inspirage leverages Oracle’s “best in class” product Demantra Predictive Trade Planning to provide these capabilities:

  • Support for Predictive Trade Planning to shape demand, and Post Promotion Effectiveness Analysis (base vs. lift)
  • Detailed Lift Decomposition (pre and post, cannibalization, and halo effects)*
  • Measurements of trade spending effectiveness, including CPIU (Cost per incremental unit)
  • Retailer promotion effectiveness and margin metrics **
  • Standard Promotion Ranking Worksheet to rank the effectiveness from individual promotions and tactics

Kevin Creel | Key Contributor

Kevin Creel is a co-founder of Inspirage and currently serves as President, Strategy and Business Development. Mr. Creel leads the global business strategy and development organizations at Inspirage. He is a recognized subject matter expert for supply chain management business process and system design. Kevin frequently presents at industry and analyst events on subjects such as cloud supply chain systems. Prior to founding Inspirage, Kevin worked for Oracle Corporation as a product manager leading supply chain systems design with a focus on high tech and configure to order products. In this design role he acted as a “voice for the customer” leveraging his 15+ years of experience in business leadership and system engineering roles in the high tech and semiconductor industries. In 2008, Kevin was recognized by the Oracle Technical Network as an Oracle ACE for his thought leadership and educational contributions within the Oracle professional and user community.
