Sridhar Hoskote, Partner, Inspirage LLC, will be providing a presentation at the Northern California Oracle Application Users Group “2009 Training Days” session on January 21, 2009 at 11 AM PST in the Santa Clara Convention Center. The presentation’s title is “Strategic Inventory level determination at Source Photonics Corporation”.
Determining and holding the right amount of inventory to support desired service levels is a significant challenge. This presentation describes a unique method employed to solve multi-echelon, time varying strategic inventory determination challenge at Source PHotonics, a fast growing “opto-electronics” company. In this presentation, Mr. Hoskote will describe how to model these supply chain conditions using Oracle Inventory Optimization. Unique aspects of this approach include the use of demand uncertainty, inventory postponement, consideration of unequal lead times for sibling items, and more. Sridhar will also review other aspects such as the approach to executing Oracle Inventory Optimization’s system recommendations and a description of the significant benefits realized by this company.
