Inspirage and Oracle kicked off the first leg to their European Modern Manufacturing and Supply Chain event series this week, held at Oracle London. Hosted by Denis Senpere, Inspirage VP Europe, and Lionel Albert, Oracle Solution Director, each covering presentations exploring new technologies such as the Internet of Things and Blockchain.
The event dedicated to manufacturing companies presented how these technologies are quickly transforming this industry sector. Case studies from companies such as Mecalac UK, a leading manufacturer of construction equipment, explained how their implementation of Oracle Cloud solutions has helped them move to a more modern manufacturing and supply chain model.
Attendees were able to discuss their supply chain issues and hear about ‘real life’ project examples. During the day, Dean Jones, Inspirage Solution Director, and Ewan Burgess, Inspirage Business Consultant, provided an overview of the pathway to the Oracle Cloud illustrating many techniques such as Inspirage’s benchmarking, solution configuration, conference room pilots and change management. The outcome to these presentations explored how organizations such as Mecalac can achieve faster implementation and leaner IT spending.
Inspirage and Oracle covered many topics on processes, technology and projects. More specifically, Glen Campbell, Inspirage Senior Practice Manager presented the Oracle Supply Chain Planning Cloud Services with detailed use cases with a Sales & Operations Planning demonstration. Glen also covered a ‘real life’ customer implementation project. In the afternoon, among the workshops running in parallel, Mark Ollerenshaw, Inspirage Business Consultant, covered the way Inspirage is managing integration with a third party or legacy system using iHub CS integration solution built by Inspirage. Mark also presented a case study where Product Compliance was at the heart of the project.
